The school year is now officially over and kids are ready for a nice summer fun. Haven’t been able to look up camps yet? No worries! We have put together plenty of options for your teens and little ones that will both stimulate their minds and keep them entertained. Whether you have an athlete at home, or a dancer, singer, performer, artist, computer programmer, you name it, there is a summer camp available to enhance his or her skills and likes.
Field Trip Camps
Does your little one enjoy trips and traveling? Then, Boca Raton’s Field Trip Camps is the right choice for both elementary kids (grades 1-5) and “tween” (grades 6-8).
Elementary Pre-Camp: Days filled with fun activities before Summer Camp begins. Campers will enjoy a field trip every day!
Elementary Traditional Camp: Traditional Camp is the “typical” summer camp with fun and supervised play fit into a six-week session. Campers will participate in new creative games and old familiar favorites. Approximately three field trips per week are included in the Traditional Camp schedule, along with arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and other exciting experiences!
Elementary Traditional Plus Camp: With a scheduled field trip every day, the Traditional Plus Camp will provide a wide variety of exciting experiences. The six-week session will fill each camper’s day with fun! Campers will also participate in arts and crafts, along with other special activities.
Tween Camp: A field trip each day will fill your child’s day with excitement and fun! Also scheduled are outdoor and indoor sports activities. Tween Camp is a great way to spend the summer!
Elementary and Tween Week-to-Week Camp: The Week-to-Week Camp is a weekly version of the six-week camps, with the option of selecting weeks. Campers will enjoy activities such as roller skating, bowling, arts and crafts, and much more for an action-packed summer!
Elementary and Tween Extended Camp: Extended Camp provides campers with two additional weeks of summer fun. Campers participate in games, arts and crafts, special events, field trips, and much more to complete the summer experience!
Elementary Post-Camp: Days filled with fun activities after Summer Camp ends. Campers will enjoy a field trip every day!
Gumbo Limbo Environmental Camp
Is your child a nature and outdoors enthusiast? Then, Gumbo Limbo Environmental Camp is the place to go. Available for kids grades 1 through 9.
At Gumbo Limbo Summer Camp, children and teens will be immersed in the native world around them through outdoor fun and hands- on activities! Games at the beach, dip netting in the lagoon, and exploring the Butterfly Garden and shaded trails are just a few of the outdoor adventures that bring our campers back year after year. Older campers learn to canoe and teens take a boat trip to Peanut Island. Don’t let your child or teen miss out on an amazing and educational summer camp experience they’ll never forget! Camp shirt, sneakers, healthy lunch, snack, drink, and a refillable water bottle required daily (please label all items); hat, bug repellant, and sunscreen recommended for all outdoor activities. There is no Open House for Gumbo Limbo Camp. Drop-off and pick-up will be in front of the Nature Center at the Sea Turtle Sculpture Garden.
NEW THIS YEAR! Extended Care available until 6:00 PM for participants of Gumbo Limbo Environmental Camp. Campers will have a chance to relax, play games, make a craft, and watch a movie. Please send a healthy snack.
Specialized programs are also available this summer at the City of Boca Raton’s Summer Camps. You will find options for yoga, computer animation, arts and crafts, science, legos, 3D modeling and printing, story writing, theater performance, music, cheerleading, fitness and gymnastics, fashion, drama and film making, and more. Do you have a scientist in the making? Then Science Camp is the choice for you.
Explorium Science Camp (grades 1-5): Offers your child an exciting and fun opportunity to explore the world around us. Campers experience a different science theme consisting of three activities each day.
Explorium Science Camp Entering K: Water, Water Everywhere is the theme for rising kindergarteners. They will discover the wonders of water in our bodies, in the ground, in the air and more, as they are introduced to science as a fun and exciting method of discovery.
Beach, Sea Turtles, and Patch Reef Programs are also a hit this summer!
Ocean Adventure Sea Program (ages 5-13): Looking for excitement, fun and adventure on the beach this summer? Get your feet wet with Under Blue Water’s Ocean Adventures program. Campers get to experience a unique hands-on approach to marine science while having the time of their life learning and mastering exciting watersports like snorkeling, boogie boarding, skim boarding, paddle boarding, surfing, sailing, fishing, Discover SCUBA, and more. Each week is filled with different Marine Science projects, experiments, games, and team building exercises designed to promote ocean awareness. Every other Thursday will rotate between our Sailing and Snorkeling Charter and Discover SCUBA on the beach.
Surf School (ages 5-13): Surf School counselors provide a fun, safe, and educational introduction to the sport of surfing. If you’ve attended the program before, you’ll have the chance to hone your skills! This Surf School is an amazing unique experience that you will never forget. No surfing experience necessary/must be able to swim. Surfing and snorkeling equipment is provided.
Beach Volleyball (ages 8+): Learn basic skills of playing volleyball while having competitions, fun and games. Get in shape while learning how to bump, set, serve and hit. Sand Turtles Beach Volleyball is relatively new to Boca Raton but the instructor has been teaching since 2009.
Gumbo Limbo Sea Turtle Camp (grades 1-5): Through games, crafts, and educational activities, our instructors teach about the importance of protecting sea turtles and other marine life. Campers will experience close encounters with our resident sea turtles and visit a local nesting beach.
Fishing Academy (ages 6-13): Join us for a great week of fishing and a chance to catch a trophy fish!! Participants will learn how to tie different knots, bait a hook, how to identify different fresh and salt water fish in Florida and learn about water safety. Fishing equipment such as rods, bait, etc. will be provided. A fishing tournament will take place on the last day of the program followed by an awards ceremony. All participants will receive a t-shirt, daily prizes, rod/reel to keep, daily snack and a medal during end of week awards ceremony. We release all caught fish. Because of fishing equipment, this camp is limited to the numbers of campers so please sign up soon!
Mini Mozart: Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach County (ages 5-8): This string class is specifically designed for younger students with limited or no experience. High student teacher ratio with certified music instructors. Short recital on the last day of the session. Instrument required. See receipt for rental option. Space if limited. Please bring lunch and snacks daily.
Crazy Games Summer Club (ages 6-12): Your child will compete in daily Crazy Games competitions with our large inflatable interactive games, enjoy water play, adventurous picnics and scavenger hunts, and even see what it is like to be a hamster. Yes, your child will get to run inside giant hamster balls at Patch Reef Park! Daily prizes and free pizza party on Fridays. Sometimes kids need to get crazy, let it be with us!
Spanish Language and Culture Summer Program (ages 5-12): Expand your child’s horizons by having them learn Spanish this summer! With our immersion style program, kids will learn to understand and speak Spanish naturally, they way they learned their first language. In addition to developing conversational skills, kids will be introduced to the rich culture of the Hispanic world. Camp counselors are experienced educators with years of experience teaching Spanish (native speakers) and working with kids, who understand children’s psychology and know how to make learning interesting and fun. Daily activities include: circle time, learning through interactive play and games, arts and crafts activities, learning about music and dance of Hispanic countries and intervals of physical play indoors and outdoors throughout the day.
Golf and Tennis Camps
Is golfing or tennis in your child’s list of likes? Try Golf and Tennis Camps available to all ages from 3 years old to 18.
Junior Golf Camp (ages 5-18): Junior Golf camp provides golf instruction for beginners up to experienced juniors. Camp includes professional golf instruction on all facets of the game while stressing safety and course etiquette. Camp also includes Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts Challenge, competition, on course play, awards and provision of drinks, snacks and lunch daily.

TeachGeek’s 3D Printing and CAD Summer Camp is offered to students ages 8 and up to keep kids engaged in learning technology while having fun all summer long! Our unique program is specifically designed to advance your children’s technical knowledge skill set outside conventional curriculum methods, while keeping them engaged and entertained. By using STEAM education principles and creative design thinking, we teach kids and young adults how to use CAD (Computer Assisted Design) programs to learn the magic behind 3D Printing! For children who want to learn about horses and their proper care. The program stresses equine care, balanced seat riding and horsemanship techniques. We will participate in water activities and enjoy the outdoors when weather permits. Camp fees include camp T-shirt, end of week horseshow, workbook, riding helmets, arts and crafts materials and Facebook photo gallery. We encourage your child to “just be a summertime kid, get dirty, sweat and have fun on the farm.”
Filled with action and excitement! Activities will consist of Martial Arts Training, Gymnastic activities, Games, Social Time, Obstacle Courses and Leadership training. All Camps Held here at Dojo with a limit of #30 kids per week. We will provide Snack everyday and Pizza on Friday’s. Youth Summer Art Camp at the Boca Raton Museum Art School is so much fun kids don’t know they’re learning!
Led by professional art educators, children explore art techniques and artistic concepts. Art projects are geared to age groups 5-7, 8-10, and 11-12. Themed weeks and a wide variety of creative projects stimulate children’s imaginations. A balance is sought between preserving children’s natural creativity and learning new skills to better express themselves.
At the end of the summer, all campers and their families are invited to a special reception for the Summer Art Camp Exhibit at the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Mizner park to celebrate each child’s first museum showing! The memories children create at summer camp will be cherished forever, while the artistic interpersonal skills they learn will be useful for a lifetime.

Looking for a fun-filled opportunity to develop your skills and get to know the FAU Women’s Soccer Team? Our day camps are geared mainly towards local players of ages 5-14 who want to work on increasing technical ability in a fun and challenging environment with the FAU coaches and players. We teach fundamental skills throughout the week in various fun competitions. Campers are grouped by age and skill level. Players are challenged to work on their individual skills as well as the tactical aspect of their game. This is a fun-filled week of learning, competing, and enjoying the game of soccer with some of the best role models around.
For those extra-extra-active kids who love climbing, jumping, running and flipping, Camp Twisters is their place.
Whether your child spends a session, a day, a week or the whole summer at Twisters, their time here will be filled with loads of fun! Our professional and safety-certified staff will lead your children in games, organized activities, arts and crafts, and supervised play in our fun, clean, safe, and fully air conditioned facility! While at Camp Twisters it’s important to us that your children have the best possible experience. Please let our camp staff know if you have any requests that could make your child’s day camp experience extra special. Healthy snacks are provided daily. Hot lunch is provided for an additional cost.
A five day camp for little and young cooks who make food intro a craft. Is your kid up for a challenge? Young chefs (ages 7-13) spend time on a cooking lesson and then compete against each other while learning proper cooking skills. Each challenge involves a mystery basket. Young chefs create fun and delicious items that will be judged to see who has the “top recipe”! Meals and snacks included; bring your own drink(s). Participants should wear close-toed shoes and tie back long hair.
