Even in the most beautiful places, there’s always room for improvement! According to The Palm Beach Post, Spanish River Library will be transformed into a tranquil garden for reading, recreation, and special events, due to a generous donation, library officials said Tuesday.
The library, at 1501 Spanish River Blvd, was gifted $50,000 by the Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library in honor of the Spanish River branch’s 10-year anniversary.
Also according to The Palm Beach Post, The money will be used to spruce up the lakefront terrace, an already popular feature of the 40,000-square-foot library often rented out for special events.
“The Friends of the Library have been integral to the success of our libraries for many years, and I thank them for their support,” said Michael Kalvort, director of recreation services in Boca Raton.
“I invite our citizens to visit one of our libraries, learn a new skill, meet some new friends, or simply escape their daily lives with a good book, movie or music.”
