Penny Morey, the fifth president of the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton was installed on June 23 in the Broken Sound Club, according to the Sun Sentinel.
The outgoing president, Lewis Fogel, passed down his gavel and pin to Morey during their dinner and reception.
The Sun Sentinel reports that other members were honored during the event, including Rotarian Joe Orze, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
According to the Sun Sentinel, this rotary club was chartered in July by its first president, Alan Kaye, and has grown from 32 founding members to 75.
Boca Raton is an enterprise for service in the community with six rotary club locations.
