Boca’s art museum brought back elegance at their annual gala. Black tie was the protocol for the evening. Cocktails on the veranda gave more than 300 guests a view of the Royal Palm Yacht Club marina. Saks Fifth Avenue models posed on pedestals.
Patrons found birds of paradise centerpieces and palm linens on the tables in the ballroom.
Greeting guests as they arrived were art student paparazzi and board chair Jody Harrison Grass and her family.
Museum director Irvin Lippman wore the sparkly orange blossom brooch on his lapel. The pin was part of the Vintage Florida live auction item that included artwork and stays in Key West, Amelia Island. The package was a tie-in with the Boca Raton Museum of Art’s “Imaging Florida” exhibit through March 24.
Dancing to the Warren Priske Band included two solos by glamorous Haven Star.
Always a highlight of Boca’s social season, the Feb. 9 gala raised $460,000. Proceeds will go to exhibits and the museum’s education programs, there and at the art school.
Co-chairs for the evening were Paola and Markus Jakobson and Trish Savides. Honorary chairs were Åsa & Per-Olof Lööf. Among the guests were trustees Edith Stein, Terry Adelman, and Peg Anderson in Chanel, of course. Some of the evening gowns even had trains.
