Boca Raton Airport has joined the non-profit Spirit of Giving Network on a project to collect school supplies for children in need, announced AINonline on July 10th. “Having the right supplies can make all the difference for a child going back to school,” noted BRAA executive director Clara Bennett.
According to AINonline’s report:
Florida’s Boca Raton Airport Authority (BRAA) is teaming up with its two resident FBOs—Atlantic Aviation and Signature Flight Support—on a drive to collect school supplies for children in need. BRAA is coordinating with Boca Raton community partner Spirit of Giving Network on the project.
Through Friday, items such as socks; tissues; reams of ruled paper; #2 pencils; boxes of colored pens; mechanical pencils; highlighters; personal hand sanitizer; and red, navy, and light blue polo-style uniform shirts in all sizes, as well as other school supplies, can be dropped off during business hours in the FBOs’ lobbies or at the BRAA administration building.
“Having the right supplies can make all the difference for a child going back to school,” said BRAA executive director Clara Bennett. “Even donating things that we take for granted, like pens and pencils can help a child start off the year off on a positive note. The Spirit of Giving Network makes such a significant contribution to the community, and we’re honored to work with them to make this school year better for the children who need it most.”
