New World Angels, a Florida angel group, announced Thursday it has invested $587,500 in Boca Raton-based digital advertising company VuPulse.
VuPulse said it creates hyperlinks to route users from ads to the platform where the customer will most likely consume the product. For a movie or TV show, for example, the link in the ad takes consumers to the show’s website or another site that provides information.
The company is focusing initially on media and entertainment advertisements, according to New World Angels, which is also based in Boca Raton.
VuPulse was co-founded in 2015 by Kevin Hill, now CEO; Jeff Kreger, chief customer success officer; and David Hartmann, chief technology officer. The founders have experience in the cable and content industries, said Steve O’Hara, president of New World Angels.
The investment is the fourth this year by New World Angels, bringing 2018 investments to $2.8 million. New World Angels is made up of 65 private investors, operators and entrepreneurs who provide equity capital and guidance to early-stage entrepreneurial companies with a strong presence in Florida.
Since 2014, the group has invested $17 million in United States and international companies.
