FlexShopper has a new corporate headquarters in Boca and expects to employ 200 people.
The company consolidated multiple locations to lease 21,622 square feet at 901 Yamato Road, the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County announced.
The expansion included expedited permitting, allowing immediate renovations to the second-floor suite. The property is at Yamato Road and Congress Avenue, directly across from the Tri-Rail station.
Boca’s Office of Economic Development partnered with the city’s building department to organize a One Stop Shop meeting, said Jessica Del Vecchio, the city’s economic development manager.
Flexshopper’s stakeholders, city building officials and team of inspectors attended. “One Stop Shops are the initial step in the expedited permitting process offered to companies that are relocating or expanding in Boca Raton,” she said. “This service is offered because time is money when it comes to business. Our team works diligently to ensure we’re working as efficiently as possible to get companies up and running as quickly and as safely as possible, allowing them to focus on their day-to-day operations.”
“We appreciate the concerted efforts of all parties, including the BDB and the city of Boca Raton, for expediting the process and enabling us to meet key operational deadlines,” FlexShopper president and CEO Brad Bernstein said in a statement.
FlexShopper is a lease-to-own eCommerce marketplace offering 150,000 brand name products from computers to mattresses and tires, drop-shipped by retailers. Founded in 2013, the company “created a platform for people to lease-purchase popular brands with little to no credit,” according to the BDB.
FlexShopper approves consumers using its own screening model. It collects from the consumer and pays retail partners for the goods, according to the company.
