Boca West opens carnival to local kids, too

A real carnival with rides, games, and prizes sprung up in a Boca West Country Club parking lot over the weekend.  There was even free carnival food, from funnel cakes to popcorn.

Like most gated communities, Boca West has holiday activities to keep visiting families busy.  But for the second year, kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton, Place of Hope, JAFCO, and others were invited from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Boys & Girls Club brought 22 kids.

This was part of the Boca West Foundation’s grants and reach-outs to 24 children’s charities. Hotwire Communications co-sponsored this event.

“We don’t want kids to miss this. Our volunteer members are also here making sure the kids are having a great time,” said Arthur Adler, foundation chairman.
