Concours d’Elegance reminder and new leaders for Boys & Girls Clubs

The 15th annual Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance presented by Mercedes-Benz and AutoNation is set for Feb. 19 to 21 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

The three-day event includes two outdoor events, including an opening night hangar party at Atlantic Aviation at Boca Raton Airport. The Sunday outdoor exhibition of new and classic motorcycles and cars and the Concours competition are on the field at the Resort. There’s also a gala and auction with celebrity entertainment Saturday night.

The Concours is a major fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, serving 12,000-at risk children in 12 clubs. “The 2021 Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance will be the first major nationally recognized Concours since March 2020. To date, the event has raised more than $10 million for the charity,” event founders and producers, Rita and Rick Case said in the announcement.

The nonprofit has just announced the   appointment of two new co-CEOs. “We are excited that veteran executives with decades of experience will assume the head roles. Matt Organ and Chris Gentile will continue to implement critical programming, maintain membership, and work with the donors to ensure continued growth of the organization during this Pandemic and beyond,” Dr. Doug Laurie, immediate past board chairman and owner of American Heritage Schools said in the announcement.

“I have been honored to serve with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward for almost 40 years and to help provide a world-class club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors,” Organ said in a statement. He has been with the organization since 2015 as chief development officer.

“My father was a club kid, and to be able to have the opportunity to work together with our staff, our board members and the community to provide opportunities for young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential just as my father was afforded is something that I am forever grateful for,” Gentile added in the statement.
