Cross Country Home Services was based in Sunrise when CEO Steve Upshaw went headquarters’ shopping.
When he saw 71,000 square feet in the former Tyco space here, he saw room to grow.
“This is a special move for us. It’s a big commitment to move a large workforce,” he said on a tour of their sleek new facilities.
“Our focus is all about growing our business through attracting and retaining the best talent possible. We were looking for new space to drive employee engagement,” he added. “We have 100 more seats to fill.”
Right away, Upshaw was impressed with Boca’s technology based applicant pool, he noted. The firm was actively recruiting 25 jobs as of late last month. They’re were looking for professionals in marketing, technology, finance and administration.
The company provides home protection, maintenance and warranty services serving more than a million households.
Cross Country Home Services has a nationwide network of repair service professionals and digital tools for solutions to everyday problems in the home. The company markets directly to homeowners, and partners with real estate, financial services, insurance, utilities, retail and connected home device manufacturers.
Their flagship call center for customer service employs just under 500 people in Anderson, S.C.
Upshaw was proud Cross Country received five Stevie Awards for sales and customer service. The competition drew 12,000 entries’ from 70 countries, according to the awards.
“It’s a nice endorsement for improving customer service in our industry,” Upshaw noted.
