CSI Boca? Boca’s Latent Fingerprint Unit identified 273 suspects. The DNA Unit worked 202 cases and had 58 matches in the national database.
Turns out the police department has a team of scientific and technical professionals working behind the scenes, Police Chief Dan Alexander said at Wednesday’s city workshop meeting.
“We simply can’t catch the bad guys without them,” he said.
The chief and his team were there to observe Forensic Science Week September 16 to 22nd. Alexander accepted a proclamation from Mayor Scott Singer.
“Access to quality forensic analysis…leads to the exoneration of the innocent and prosecution of the guilty,” it says in part.
