Tickets For Sale: Food and Wine Tasting, Comedy or Lecture

This chef and restaurant food, beer, wine, and soft-drink tasting is a prelude to 2018 Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl college football game televised on ESPN Dec. 18 in FAU Stadium.  The Spirit of Giving is the bowl’s charity partner.
  • You may have seen comedian Dana Eagle on evening talk shows, Comedy Central or Last Comic Standing. She’s bringing her stand up to the Mizner Park Comedy Club at 8 p.m. Oct. 27. The club is inside Mizner Cultural Center on the north end of Mizner Park and 201 Plaza Real. Tickets are $20 to $40 at Eventbrite
  • This lecture by Columbia University professor by Dr. Lien-Hang T. Nguyen deconstructs the Tet Offensive during the Vietnam War. “Toward a New History of the Tet Offensive: Spies, Allies, and Murder in Hanoi” is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 in Florida Atlantic University’s, University Theatre on the Boca Raton campus. Tickets are $20 at or call 561-297-6124.  Free parking in garage II.
A book signing will follow the lecture. Nguyen is working on a comprehensive history of the 1968 Tet Offensive for Random House and she is the general editor of the forthcoming “Cambridge History of the Vietnam War.”
