Junior League of Boca Raton and Community Partners Complete “Day of Impact”
Each year, in lieu of holding a March Membership Meeting, members of the Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) spend the day completing additional volunteer hours within the community. JLBR supports a wide variety of organizations and projects by providing funds and trained volunteers.
The League’s present community issues include hunger, child welfare, and nonprofit support. On March 13th, this year’s Day of Impact, League members completed over 489 volunteer hours with 12 nonprofits, such as Boca Helping Hands, Place of Hope and Best Foot Forward. Additionally, over 15,000 diapers were donated to the JLBR Diaper Bank to be distributed to babies in need. The League would like to thank the various business organizations that served as donation centers for this year’s “Week of Impact.” With their support, diapers, canned goods, and school supplies were collected for distribution. Thank you, Cendyn Spaces, CSL Plasma, TransUnion, Tire Kingdoms of Palm Beach Gardens, and Boca Center.
