Let’s hope the weather holds up this weekend for two big outdoor events.
The 10th annual Boca Raton Food & Wine Festival returns to Sanborn Square downtown from 6 p.m., the VIP opening, or 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. You can still buy tickets there at $125 or $150 VIP or through the web site. Sanborn Square is on the east side Federal Highway just south of Palmetto Park Road.
The festival grounds are turned into villages including Mediterranean, Asian, Spanish, BBQ, cheeses and desserts.
There’s a business shopping bazaar and a wine store. Diners can meet the chefs and taste the craft brews and wines.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is early Sunday Nov. 10. The annual event starts with 8 a.m. greetings on stage in Mizner Park Amphitheater. The 2-mile walk around the park starts at 8:30 a.m.
Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. Pets are not permitted. More than 200 teams and nearly 1,700 individuals have signed up so far.
Here’s the link to the web site and don’t forget to wear purple. You can also just attend and not walk but donate.
