Tickets on sale for library fundraiser featuring Robert Watson

Dr. Robert Watson isn’t only a headliner on the lecture circuit. He has three dozen books on history and politics and five works of fiction to his credit.

The Lynn University professor will share his insights on how he does his research and writing at a fundraiser for the two city libraries.

Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library just put tickets on sale for their fundraiser 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday Jan. 24 in the Spanish River Library.

The event will include wine and hors d’oeuvres. Raffle prizes include wine to baskets from Trader Joe’s and the Peter Blum Family YMCA.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. Here the link to register or call the Friends and leave a message at 561-807-7141.

Signed copies of Watson’s latest books “The Nazi Titanic” and “The Ghost Ship of Brooklyn” will be included in the raffle and available for purchase at the event.

As the professor American Studies at Lynn, Watson is often interviewed by national media for his expertise. He has written hundreds of scholarly journal articles, book chapters and reference essays.

He’s the series editor for the anthology on the American presidency published by the State University of New York. He edits “The American Presidents” and “American First Ladies.”
