Each name is inscribed in a black granite plaque or on the Wall of Honor on the monument beneath the Addison Mizner statue on Royal Palm Place. The plaques are underwritten by Marta Batmasian. She and her husband Jim sponsor the event. Committee co-chairs are Marta Batmasian and Joyce DeVita.

The reception and induction ceremony at The Addison are free for past inductees. After the ceremony and presentation of medallions and desk-top awards, the honorees and ticket holders have a dinner-by-the-bite, beverages, entertainment and dancing under the stars in The Addison courtyard.

“The Walk of Recognition is my favorite event because we have the opportunity to honor the outstanding individuals and institutions who have built our community,” said Mary Csar,  society’s executive director.
