Boca West Children’s Foundation is celebrating a decade and raising $9 million for at-risk youth. Comedian and TV car show host Jay Leno will headline the 10th anniversary gala on Sunday March 1.
Arthur Adler, founder and chairman of Boca West Children’s Foundation, will be honored at the event in Boca West Country Club. Funds raised will benefit projects at 25 children’s charities the foundation serves. Among them are Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, Youth Activities Center, Children’s Safety Net Services and KidSafe Foundation.
The gala starts at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, seated dinner and stand-up by Leno. Tickets at $500 and sponsorships at www.bocawestfoundation.org, or call 561-488-6980.
The former NBC-TV late-night talk show host and stand-up comedian is an author, corporate speaker, TV and movie voice-over artist. A well-known car enthusiast and builder, his “Jay Leno’s Garage” reality show is still available through Hulu and Amazon Prime.
The foundation identifies and fund projects to assist children and their families in need. Adler and volunteers have impacted the lives of more than 5,000 at-risk children, said Pam Weinroth, executive director and COO.
Among the sponsors are the Stoops Family Foundation, ADT, NCCI Integrated Dermatology, AW Properties, FAU Foundation, Lennar Homes, Excell Auto Group and Boca Raton Airport. The event is co-chaired by Yvonne Ackerman, Sharyn Frankel and Marilyn Weinberg.
