Heads up on the northbound I-95 exit ramp to Palmetto Park Road.
And three remaining weekends of full closures continue on the Spanish River Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal.
The northbound I-95 exit ramp at Palmetto Park Road will undergo a full, round-the-clock closure from 5 a.m. Saturday Oct. 12 to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14.
Westbound lanes on the Spanish River Boulevard bridge are expected to close starting 5 a.m. Saturday Oct. 12 and ending 5 a.m. Monday Oct. 14.
The entrance and exit on Spanish River Boulevard at Sea Ranch Club of Boca will also be closed. Only one of two bridge spans will be closed in each direction over the weekend to allow pedestrian and first-responder access.
The work is part of Florida Department of Transportation’s bridge painting project that started Aug. 12. It includes sandblasting and repainting the steel structure. Bridge span locks will be repaired. Bridge piling jackets will be replaced. The $2.4 million project is expected to be done in early 2020.
The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Palmetto Park Road will also be closed nightly 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The southbound entrance ramp from westbound Palmetto Park Road and the northbound entrance from both eastbound and westbound will be closed the same days and hours.
The full ramp closure for ramp reconstruction is part of FDOT’s conversion of HOV lanes to two, tolled express lanes in each direction. Completion is expected in spring 2022.
