President Trump returns to his Mara-a-Lago Club on Palm Beach on Friday.
He’s meeting with leaders of the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, and Saint Lucia, according to Reuters, a wire service quoting a White House press report.
Mar-a-Lago is the same place as U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham’s keynote speech at the county GOP’s annual Lincoln Day dinner.
The Palm Beach County Republican Club press release says at least 700 guests are expected for the 6:30 p.m. dinner Friday. Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi will emcee.
As of Wednesday, the event was closed to public coverage, said executive director Scott Maxwell. Trump’s presence wasn’t mentioned. Graham is a Trump friend and ally.
The plan to close the dinner was a change. A request for media credentials to cover the event for the public was issued Feb. 22.
Trump’s last trip back to Palm Beach was March 8. Presidential trips are announced in advance as VIP Movement for pilots.
This time, air space in the vicinity of Palm Beach International Airport will be restricted between 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 22 through 8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
