Join us for our 47th annual holiday street parade, theme “Light Up Boca!” The parade route begins at Federal Hwy & SE 7th Street, traveling north to Mizner Park Amphitheater. Viewing bleachers will be at Sanborn Square.
Create and decorate ornaments with shells, sea beans, pine cones and other decorations at Gumbo Limbo from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 9. Materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own holiday décor to add to your natural creations. It costs $7 for members and $10 for non-members. For local pet owners, the popular Pet Photo Night returns to the Simon Santa Photo Experience at Town Center at Boca Raton this year. Many pet owners view their pet as an integral member of the family and are just as committed to caring for their pets as their “human” family members. Pet Photo nights are hosted after regular mall closing and the set gets an extensive cleaning following the event to remove any potential risk to allergy sufferers. Pet Photo Night will be on Sunday, December 10 from 7 pm -9 pm
Want to see snow this winter? Head to Sugar Sand Park on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to catch snow at Piles of Smiles “Snow Day.” For children ages, 4 to 12, enjoy the snow, giant slides, winter games, sock skating rink, bounce house and more winter activities. Hosted by The City of Boca Raton . Sunday, December 10th 2017 . Enjoy the tradition of holiday music performed by tubas and euphoniums, started by Indiana University Professor Harvey G. Phillips. FAU brings this tradition to the Boca Raton community for its fifth annual presentation. Celebrating its 44th year, Merry Tuba Christmas Concerts will be presented in 250 cities throughout the world this holiday season. Doors open at 4 pm and the show starts at 5 pm.
The Downtown Boca Raton Public Library presents art exhibit “Marks Over Time” by Tina Savesen through Dec. 15. Her artwork focuses on fine mark making using charcoal, pencil, ink, watercolor, pastels, paint and encaustic. Neil Schulhoff, Library Program Services, calls Salvesen’s work a “wonderful combination of sheer mastery of technique and joie de vivre of form.” The exhibit is free and open during library hours.
The 41st Annual Boca Raton Holiday Boat Parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 16. It is free to participate in the boat parade. Enjoy the show from Red Reef Park, the Wild Flower property or Silver Palm Park viewing areas. The parade route is along the Intracoastal Waterway starting at the C-15 canal (Boca Raton-Delray Beach city limits) traveling south to Hillsboro Bridge. Spend your Friday lunch break with us on December 1, 8, and 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch on the Lawn will open to those interested in enjoying lunch from various food trucks amidst picnic tables, misting machines, and subtle background music!
This pre-game event will take place at Mizner Park Amphitheatre on Monday, December 18th at 6 pm, and will be hosted by the City of Boca Raton and ESPN. This event is free to the public and a great event for the whole family.
