YMCA of South Palm Beach County Surpasses Annual Campaign Fundraising Goal
With support from more than 1,300 donors, the YMCA of South Palm Beach County surpassed their 2017 Annual Campaign goal of $510,000 and raised a total of $542,586.
“Throughout South Palm Beach County countless people know the Y. But there’s so much more to our Y than one might think,” explained Jason Hagensick, President & CEO of the YMCA of South Palm Beach County.
“This is a great accomplishment, but it would not have been possible without the hard work of our campaign volunteers and staff,” said Debbie Faris, Chair of the 2017 Annual Campaign. “This was a team effort, and I am so proud to be part of this organization. So much good will come from this!” All funds raised ensure that members of the South Palm Beach County community have access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The campaign started on October 4th at the Old School Square Fieldhouse in Delray Beach where the YMCA of SPBC revealed their initial goal of $510,000 with the theme being “Change a Life”. Every year, the YMCA Annual Campaign goes above and beyond to support and help change the lives of at-risk children, families, and seniors through Y programs and services. Last year, they raised $483,000, which provided programs such as sports, after school and preschool to those in need.
Get involved with the YMCA and the Annual Campaign next year in 3 easy steps. Sign up by making a fundraising account through your email or Facebook login, make your page personalized while you explain your Y story of impact and then involve others by sharing your story. Although all of the money goes towards the Y’s programs and services, you can choose between supporting the Boca Raton team or the Boynton Beach team. This gives the organization some friendly competition and motivates each location to raise more money than the other.
